OUR MISSION
The mission of The Harvey Bernhardt Foundation is to provide one-time financial assistance for hardship cases related to medical or natural disasters, victims of crime or other tragedies. Recipients must be citizens living and working in the North Florida community. Recipients are referred by members of the community and work with the foundation to determine the best course of action.

Welcome to The Harvey Bernhardt Foundation. The foundation was started by friends and family in 2007 after the sudden passing of Dr. Harvey Bernhardt, a dedicated community member of the Jacksonville community. Dr. Bernhardt had a dream of starting a foundation for many years. His friends and family chose to honor him by starting this and filling his dream for him.
The foundation assists North Florida families who have suffered a financial setback due to a medical or natural disaster or as a victim of crime. These are working families who contribute to the community and need a “compassionate assist” to help them stay on track during these difficult and unexpected times.
The Harvey Bernhardt Foundation works with other local organizations and leaders of the community to recognize and assist families from Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Clay, and Baker counties. All gifts are determined by the board.
